Tools for Anxiety and Stress Reduction Online Workshop
What if YOU could go from being anxious and stressed to relaxed and confident overnight?
HOW ABOUT IN 90 MINUTES?
Is this you?
Reading the headlines stresses you out.
You have big goals but get so anxious when it's time to take action that you give up and stay under the covers with a chocolate bar instead.
You love the relaxed grounded feeling of yoga and wish you could feel that way all the time.
Your chest or throat gets tight when you need to have a difficult conversation with your boss, a demanding client or your honey.
You say you want to change your life for the better but keep doing the same thing over and over again because your anxiety is so bad.
You feel anxiety when watching the news.
You feel relieved when plans are cancelled by your friends and you can stay home. (YIPPEE!)
You care deeply about your family, community and the world and wish your anxiety didn't prevent you from having a bigger positive impact.
If so, you’re not alone.
I get it. Because I was you.
I was paralyzed by anxiety, too.
It all happened when I was working for the European Union in the field doing reconstruction assistance after the wars in the Balkans and someone was killed in a car bomb right in front of my eyes. Overnight I went from a successful, competent professional traveling around the world in a highly prestigious and demanding job to going to live on a Greek island because of the anxiety that traumatic experience caused.
For weeks on end, I couldn’t leave the house, was anxious about being in public, felt stressed around everyone and everything and practically became a recluse. All in an attempt to cope with my anxiety.
That's how bad it was.
But after years of Buddhist meditation, mindfulness practice, yoga, therapy and study with some of the greatest teachers in the world like Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, Jack Kornfield, Hala Khouri and Dr. Gabor Mate, I've distilled the essence of what I've learned about stress and anxiety into this accessible workshop.
Everyday, people come to my classes, workshops, retreats and private coaching with challenges exactly like these where I share with them what I've learned.
And now I'm offering this unique experiential 90 minute online workshop to you.
In it, you'll learn the basics of the physiology of stress, anxiety and trauma, the neuroscience behind it, and how mindfulness and yoga can help. In addition, you'll have a chance to practice specific grounding practices, meditations and exercises to help you better understand, tolerate and regulate your emotions.
By the end of this workshop you'll:
FEEL CALMER, MORE RELAXED AND MORE EMOTIONALLY REGULATED.
BE MORE PREPARED TO HANDLE THE BUMPS AND CHALLENGES OF LIFE, AS WELL AS THE HIGH SPOTS (WHICH CAN BE JUST AS CHALLENGING FOR MANY OF US!)
HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHO YOU REALLY ARE EMOTIONALLY, PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY.
FEEL A DEEPER SENSE OF COMPASSION FOR YOURSELF AND CONNECTEDNESS WITH THOSE AROUND YOU.
BE MORE CONFIDENT THAT YOU CAN MEET LIFE AS AN OPPORTUNITY AT WORK, HOME AND PLAY WITH A SENSE OF PLEASURE RATHER THAN DREAD.
Want to find out more? Here's the scoop.
Is this workshop for me?
If you have mild to moderate anxiety and are looking for additional understanding and options for your toolkit, this is going to be a fantastic resource for you. If your stress is severe or you are extremely anxious all the time, please note this workshop may not be the best fit for you (although you will likely learn some new important information about the body’s role in stress and anxiety). If you have a family member, friend, colleague or employee with anxiety, it will allow you to better understand what you can do to help and support them from a place of empathy and compassion.
I'm dealing with an active addiction and trauma and anxiety are a big part of it. Will this workshop help me?
This workshop is not intended to replace therapy or a program of recovery for anyone facing addiction. It may, however, be a helpful adjunct to both of those. Talk to your support team, including your therapist or doctor, and check in with your intuition to see if body-based mindfulness practices and a better understanding of the physiology of trauma are right for you at this time.
- What do I need to participate?
To get the most from this experiential and educational workshop, here are a couple of suggestions. There isn't a need to be perfectionistic about this, just do the best you can to set yourself up for success by: turning off all other browsers, apps and programs during the online Zoom video workshop; putting your phone on sleep mode so you won't be disturbed during the experiential exercises; being in a quiet, comfortable place where you won't be disturbed; wearing comfortable clothes, having a bottle of water to stay hydrated and perhaps some of your favorite essential oils, plus a journal to take any notes that may feel especially important to jot down.
What is this workshop content based on?
Besides teaching mindfulness and meditation and working with men and women with anxiety for years, you'll find references to the work of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, Jack Kornfield, Dr. Gabor Mate, Hala Khouri, Peter Levine, and others in this webinar. If their work resonates with you, it's very likely you'll love this experiential workshop.
I've tried to meditate before and it just made me more anxious! My head spins and it won't stop. Should I do this workshop?
Again, you (along with your therapist or trusted doctor) are the best judge of what is helpful and what is harmful for you. What's great about this workshop is that you can pause it at any time, take a break, go for a walk, move around, perhaps do some journaling or yoga, and come back to it when you feel ready. Once you sign up and receive the workshop, it's yours to keep forever, available 24 hours a day and something you can come back to when the time is right for you. There is no need to force anything, but over time with practice, using the workshop regularly will help you to develop greater capacity for self-regulation, relaxation and ease.
When and where is the workshop?
This live workshop is on Tuesday, May 1st, 9 - 10:30 am Pacific on Zoom video. Can't make it then? Don't worry. When you sign up, you'll receive the downloadable workshop to watch it when it suits your schedule.
I can't make the live session. Will I get a copy of the recording?
You bet. You'll receive a copy of both the audio and video files within 24 hours.
I'm in. What do I do next?

What do people say about working with Felina?
Felina is incredibly insightful and full of ideas for how to incorporate mindfulness and meditation into a busy schedule.
- Hayley P, doctoral candidate Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, Massachusetts
I jumped into coaching feeling confused and stagnant in most areas of my life. I had no idea what to expect. After working with Felina, I left the coaching process feeling renewed, confident and hopeful; adjectives I NEVER thought I’d use to describe my life. I just thought that was the life I was meant to live. Felina helped me realize there is so much more to life than what I believed. She is a warm, supportive and welcoming soul. She was my number one supporter through this process, but not falsely supportive. She has a tough honesty that I appreciate. From the moment we met, she told me to “trust the process”, which I did, even when the process got confusing and difficult. Felina has created an amazing process for her clients through her coaching. She has a gift for coaching and I am forever grateful that she shared her gift with me.
- Ashley C, small business owner, New Jersey
There has been incredible amount of shift in my life on both a personal level and professional level within 3 months after working with Felina. We did a 1 hour session at the beginning of 2016 when I was in the midst of transitioning between jobs and this gave me a really good insight about what I really wanted to do next in my life. That has been the most powerful change in my career, because I am extremely happy on my job now, and I have never felt this way during 15 years of corporate life. Because the shift was so powerful I decided to work with her towards the end of 2016 when I was going through personal life challenges, not knowing how to navigate. It was a fantastic decision. We worked for 3 months, regularly every week. She facilitated self-discovery, always nudging me toward being more authentic, honest with the things I wanted. She helped me to go to the core of my spirit and my desires; that helped me not to look at what I want short term, but my longer term aspirations. What I most appreciate about her is that she takes a holistic approach and she has incredibly strong intuition that delves deep into my soul. Today, I am super happy with myself, and super happy in my relationship and super happy in my career. Her work is magical. I can’t recommend her highly enough!
- Mel D., finance professional, San Francisco, California
What would you tell someone about working with Felina? "Watch out! There were so many things that had such a big impact on how I am behaving and being today – I really mean watch out for really amazing major change things to happen which I certainly wasn’t expecting. Watch out for the miracle and the change that’s going to happen! I do want to thank you for the time you have devoted to coaching me – it has been a huge impact, not just to me but also the people around me. It has been a miraculous change.”
- Brian M., tech guru, San Diego, California
[Working with Felina] helped me be more deliberate in creating the joy I want and know that joy is out there in abundance for me and everyone who seeks it. I learned to be vulnerable , to take action even when I feel like throwing up in my mouth.... That creating my life the way I want it is my job!
I push beyond my fears, I challenge myself, I’m more confident. I notice when I’m pulling back, make an inquiry then push forward My marriage is thriving and my business is growing. I’m learning to create my own joy!
- Lori T., small business owner/mother, Palm Desert, California
What I learned working with Felina? Three things come to mind. 1) That focusing on the positive increases the likelihood that I will get into action and that I will feel satisfied with my life. 2) That change is often incremental and imperceptible. 3) That, by working with someone, synergy occurs. I know that I can be more successful if I work with someone else. Not everything need be done individually. I pay more attention to my health and on monitoring my goal-achievement on a regular basis.
- Shane J., teacher/education consultant, New Jersey
I have been a (private coaching) client and an attendee at public classes with Felina. She has a talent for sharing her wisdom and particular brand of spiritual coaching that blends philosophy, spirituality and universal coaching principles into one unique and effective package!
- Lori C., writer, Seattle, Washington
We all know that negative challenges bring out the best or the worst, and they come at us suddenly or slowly. And sometimes a positive challenge is equally stressful, such as a promotion or meeting that special person. Shall I accept more job responsibility for that higher salary, or get involved in a serious relationship? Working with Felina will help you move forward, and most important, you will feel good about it! No matter what the challenge or if you feel stuck in a job you hate or a negative relationship. It almost always helps to talk to a family or friend. But while you are at it, why not talk to Felina, a professional, who has already seen it all? Felina has the experience, tools, insights, training, and the sensitivity so much so that she can assess your situation on the spot, and ask you the right question to help you dig deeper to relieve your resistance to change. One of the most profound questions she asked me was a simple one: “Steve, what do you do to have fun?” Isn’t simplicity powerful? How did she know that I had a problem having fun? Perhaps most of us have that problem. It only matters because I did.
