Mindfulness and Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace: How Personal and Business Sustainability Can Work Together
Companies around the world are recognizing that, to go the distance in today’s economy, newer, more relevant business models are required.
At the same time, individuals seeking to participate in the global economy through small business endeavors see clearly that it takes more than a great idea, adequate capital and the right economy to make a business thrive.
Mindfulness and emotional intelligence are increasingly being recognized as skills that are vital to the sustainable success of both larger companies and mom-and-pop shops.
This unique workshop is geared towards the unique economy of the Coachella Valley. It will also offer helpful examples from best practices around the world in this area, and how they can be implemented right here.
With experiential exercises, like those featured in the highly-acclaimed “Search Inside Yourself” program at Google in which thousands of people have participated, small business owners, managers and employees will benefit from this workshop.
Among the benefits mindfulness and emotional intelligence training and skills have been found to offer businesses around the world are:
Decreased employee burnout and turnover
Increased capacity to handle boom and bust periods in business
Improved employee morale
Greater enjoyment at work
Participants will leave the workshop with new skills, strategies, insights and specific how-to’s about bringing greater mindfulness and emotional intelligence into the workplace, whether in the boardroom or the home-office.
This workshop will decidedly be about business un-usual so sign up, prepare to relax, learn and transform your experience of business from the inside out.
It is a joint offering from the Coachella Valley Women's Business Center (CVWBC), the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership (CVEP) and Felina Danalis | Spiritual Fitness Coaching.
Honoring mind-body-spirit is a buzzword for many. But for Felina Danalis, of Spiritual Fitness Coaching, it is nothing less than a life’s work. After serving for years in international development working at places like the World Bank and consulting in the sustainability industry focused on the triple bottom line of people, planet and profit in Europe, a traumatic car bombing she witnessed while working in the field was her breaking open moment more than a decade ago. Since then, cultivating her own spiritual fitness and teaching others to do the same has been her passion, calling and business. Though mindfulness and meditation classes, powerful individual and group coaching, corporate workshops and international retreats, she helps people, companies and organizations live on purpose with a whole lot of Mediterranean joie de vivre using the principles of mindfulness, authenticity, spirituality and sustainability.
She has worked with individuals, companies organizations ranging from the World Bank and Google, to the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies, the United Nations, European and Fortune 1000 Companies in Europe and the U.S.
She holds degrees from Georgetown (B.S.) and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (MA), has trained with the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), has been studying and teaching Buddhist meditation since 2005 and is based in Palm Springs, CA.
